Blazing saddles is, without question the funniest film ever made... Though I do wonder just how many of the gags in Mel Brookes's original script would survive a possible remake renowadays

There is a little known film called start the revolution without me he stars with Donald Sutherland. It's hard to find but if you are a wilder fan worth a watch. Some funny bits in it.

So the picture was too soon, imo Mr Wilder would have found it hilarious, comedy I suppose it's all subjective really.
