General Election June 8th

Why on earth would anyone vote tory. They are disgusting. Pro nuclear holocaust, pro killing the disabled, pro private NHS, pro tax breaks to the mega rich, pro secondary modern high schools....

The only reason average people vote for this mob is they have been hoodwinked into thinking their mock Tudor house and there Ford focus makes them one of them.

The Tories hate the disabled, hate the poor, hate the unemployed, hate the working poor, hate the homeless, hate the working class, hate the middle class, hate cancer sufferers, the only people Tories like are the filthy rich, the arms manufacturers, the bankers and the elite!

Who should we vote for then? If I vote Corbyn his policies will directly cause me to lose my job because of his stance on defence. He is also far too hard left and as much as I do not like inequality and all the other stuff he pontificates about, how will he help me beyond upping my taxes etc?

I'm willing to vote for someone who will help the vulnerable and similar people but why shouldn't I be selfish and vote for the things that will affect me too? Corbyn is actually offering the majority who aren't in one of the above groups absolutely nothing.

I'm not a fan of the Tories but I voted for them last time around and I will have to again because there is simply no alternative. I was a remainer too however I have accepted that we have to leave the EU so the Lib Dems are not an option either.

Tories have two traits historically. Blatantly saying one thing and doing the other and Shooting the wounded! They don't think twice about offloading burdens. The working class, the social housing stock, the disabled. They are disgusting people. Jeering in PMQs, pissed, like slobs shouting down genuine questions from people who's constituents are floundering under the pressure of carrying the burden of the financial crash! Absolute scum!

I agree, but I still think that a Corbyn led Labour government would be worse.

If we crash out with no transition ( or implementation) phase to implement WTO rules then the resulting meltdown to our economy would make a Corbyn led government look like a picnic.
Movement to WTO on phased and planned basis would still be scary. The treasury estimate prior to the referendum was a 7.5% drop in GDP. Despite 'project fear' it doesn't seem unreasonable ( at least in the short term) and surprisingly the Government have not sought to confirm, deny or recalculate. I would still prefer a Corbyn led government to this scenario.
On the wider point of Jez getting elected. His policies are ok, would it really make much difference if he got in? Look what happened with the last three 'electable' PMs prior to the Christian - Cameron ( chaos of the EU ref as an attempt to solve Tory differences), Brown ( financial crisis, unregulated banks), Blair (Iraq). Who knows what will happen with the 'competent' reMAYner, lorries queuing from Dover to Leeds and economy in lockdown?

PMQ today consisted of Corbyn reading letters from Labour voters like he was an agony Aunt. The one set of questions May asked about disbanding MI5 etc he ignored and replied with another letter.

It was strange to say the least.

Only another referendum on the ( broad) terms of exit would give her a mandate

The EU only give a sh*t to the extent to which it will reduce the influence on Brexit of the Tory right wing fruit and nut cases thereby enabling her to make the necessary compromises ( or betrayals depending on your viewpoint) to reach a settlement on the UK exit deal.
