I know you're not a fool, that body swerve was well executed, but it was a strawman and you know it.

The single biggest factor by a country mile likely to dictate a persons life chances are the circumstances of their birth, and these last few decades it has got worse.

The right wing might play divide and rule and noises off, as you're doing, but the elephant in the room will not go away. The bank of mum and dad will lend their children £6.5bn this year.

If you're not born to parents who are members of the bank of mum and dad, tough luck pal, you're on your own.

Interesting point. Born in 61, I grew up on council estate in single parent family and somehow have done OK. I am the exception in my extended family as I am the one with the brain cell and I am talking officially educationally sub normal in close relatives.

There was no bank of mum and dad for me, in fact the opposite at times.

If I'd been born in 81 instead, I've got no idea how I'd have broken out of that environment. No chance of buying house at 23. No 100% student grant.

Now could be a paper millionaire when I'm 60. In reality relatively skint as I've been the bank of dad for kids at Uni. I am an exception that bends the rule.

But at heart I am a keynesian economist and see the only way to make a difference is a major injection of investment from central government, not the "throw a few sweeties and keep them smiling" attitude of the elite. I've worked since I was 14 in the hope of making society a better place for the many, not the few.

Has there ever been a more inept politician in world politics than, Diane Abbott?, I'm gutted they have shelved her until they lose the election, best advert to vote Tory there has ever been...!

Plenty.
Theresa May for one, and she had real power to change things. Under her watch we're obviously much more strong and stable as a country aren't we...

Not Trident. That's for sure. But both Labour and the Tories have promised to renew it.

There's more chance that all of the surviving players from City's 67/68 team will announce that they are going to become ambassadors for United, than Corbyn renewing trident.

Just like her campaign van..

Same here, I'm sixty now, born in Lower Broughton in Salford, three up three down terrace, toilet out back, no bathroom. I got to university, no fees in my day and with a grant from my local authority. I am a paper millionaire now and worked for it, but had it not been for the state at crucial moments in my life I wouldn't be where I am.

I make no apologies for not hiding my detestation for those that pull up the ladder behind them.

The real dilemma is not wanting to keep the red flag flying high

Not seen an activist in 11 years of living here.

Now had 2 Labour door knockers in 2 days.

Labour desperate to hold Stalybridge and Hyde
