First hurdle is she has to get 2/3rds of the Commons to vote for it........... rather embarrassing were it to fail at the first hurdle. Opposition parties could combine and vote against thus making her look a weak leader in charge of a party she can't manage then call for a vote of confidence after the GE vote tomorrow. Highly unlikely but were it to happen would be one of the most exciting days in Parliament

Labour have previously said they'll back calls for a snap election, and they've been preparing for one -

It's about clearing out the remainers so she can go full hard in the negotiations. It's the right move but it will help Labour in the long term as they will be shot of Corbyn a lot sooner than they thought.

If thats her aim then as a Remainer herself she should resign as party leader and PM

What for?

Fucking hell, more twats on my doorstep that I'll try and be patient with until finally snapping. This is an election, not for the people, but to prove to the rest of the useless fuckwits in Parliament that she's in charge.

Utterly pointless and costly exercise.

Vote none of the above. It's the only way.

As if the opposition party would vote against and give up the chance to form the government. I know Corbyn is a dime bar , but even he could not be that much of a dick.

How anyone from a working class background can vote for the Tories is beyond me. Do you seriously not know what they stand for and whose interests they protect? It ain't yours sweethearts.
And the current Labour party is? The Middle Class become the new 'Working Class' and the Working Classes are seen as scum in their eyes.

Well I will vote Tory. No other credible choice is there
My darling niece Arrianne (dunno if i spelled it right, sorry Arri) will be voting green party bless her, i like the idea of them but their economic policies are err lets say not great. She just wants the best for everyone though so i don't have the heart to tell her they need a bit more experience in areas other than environmental issues.

But no PM is ever elected, so i dont get the argument. We vote a party that has a leader, not an individual.

I fear our Party election system has been overtaken by the concept of a " Presidential" style imported from the US- probably the Thatcher / Kinnock era really started than and we went to the Presidential style TV debates that have only reinforced that view for some. I have heard people say they are voting for ( insert candidates name here ) but have no idea which party they lead.............?? - Go figure that one !!
