By "looking silly" you simply mean "disagreeing with me", chin up as mistakes like that genuinely do make you look silly.

It really is posts like this that make me laugh. You don't realise that such blinkered thinking is the reason that Labour are dead in the water. It's beyond myopic, it's simply blind.

I agree. Corbyn will be gone in 2mths time and then hopefuly after that we can have some meaningful opposition.

I am pretty apolitical in terms of party politics, not desperately keen on any of them.
I voted labour last time but god knows how I will vote this time.

I suppose the only thing that might be positive about this shabby opportunism, is that May (hopefully) will be forced to outline where the fuck she's going with Brexit. As she has just stated in front of No 10 she wants a ringing endorsement to do whatever it is she's about to do, then an election might just tease out what the fuck that is.

The woman can certainly lie to camera, citing as the prime mover behind this snap election a divided Parliament against a unified country, what a duplicitous shit! When what she really meant was that she has a divided government and an election victory will strengthen her hand against the likes of Fox, Davis, Redwood, Cash, Duncan Smith et all.

Though that might be a misreading of her intentions, perhaps she'll use this election to resurrect a Red, White and Blue Brexit, no deal better than a bad deal. The concessions she has had to make so far were all in response to the hard reality of her weak bargaining position, she knows and anyone following the Brexit process knows, that no "good deal" is going to emerge from Brussels, so maybe she wants an endorsement to hard Brexit and blame the shit storm on the perfidious Europeans.

I am pretty sure that you will be very disappointed in the: "...will be forced to outline where the fuck she's going with Brexit." bit.

This is being done partly to give the negotiators a clearer hand and they will not be making any pronouncements other than have already been said - best deal etc.

The UK will not and certainly should not, be making any clear statements on what the outcomes from the negotiations should/are intended to be - that would set up hostages to fortune and feed into the hands of the EU negotiators.

My guess is that you will hear no more than what you will consider to be inane and pointless platitudes - but what are in fact necessary as we are preparing for these negotiations
