The post above first. And then the reply I gave you.

I am not looking it up for you. Do it yourself!

In other words, no reply at all.

Tell us Chippy boy, is VAT a regressive or a progressive tax and why might an incoming Labour government want to decrease one and increase the other?

Election poll latest: Theresa May will win biggest Tory landslide since Thatcher, final survey predicts

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-win-results-corbyn-theresa-may-a7777781.html

Exclusive: Eve-of-vote poll by ComRes for The Independent gives Ms May a 10-point lead, indicating an 74-seat majority

Theresa May looks on course for a definitive victory over Jeremy Corbyn in the general election, as the final poll for The Independent shows her party enjoying a 10-point lead over Labour.

If the figures in the ComRes poll are replicated on Thursday, projections indicate a concrete 74-seat majority – the largest the Conservatives have secured since the days of Margaret Thatcher.

Let's hope that this is one poll that's correct.

FFS, I replied already, troll.

You are seeking to be deliberately provocative, and I am not rising to your bait.

Having studied macro economics at university, conceivably I know the answer to your inane question.

Read my previous replies and have another bottle.

Let's not. The thought of being led by that shitebag is not shared by me.

I think it may be right though and that makes me despair and think of turkeys and Christmas.

That Sun headline, I mean what the fuck is wrong with that newspaper. To think it's probably the widest read of all tabloids as well - no wonder the country has so many problems when there's millions of people get their daily dose of current events from that shitstain of a rag.

It's a shame labour have been so shambolic up until this election campaign. Too little too late I think.

Then you'll have no trouble answering the question......Is VAT a regressive or a progressive tax and why might an incoming Labour government want to decrease one and increase the other?

I think you're right, social media exists in an echo chamber and is populated by younger and therefore more liberal voters.
I will add that my sister, a hyacinth bucket type, is voting Labour along with her Police Sergeant husband. He's a sun reader who gives out about immigration, not your typical leftie. Who knows if this pattern will be repeated elswhere!

you've hit the nail on the head with that, its an echo chamber. not all young people are labour voters either, the majority of university students are.

The Blairites stood aside from this campaign waiting for Corbyn to implode, and yet again it seems they've f**ked up.

I thought that when the election was announced

However, given the Tories arrogance, their austerity record, May's general contempt for debating and, to top it all 'change Human Rights legislation'. What the fuck!

She spoke about the 'Brexit Election', yet no one is really any clearer on what to expect (I voted leave). She also seems to have a aversion to criticising Trump e.g climate change and Sadik Khan Tweets

Then, on top of all that, I thought about 5 more years of the Conservative Party in government......

they can't give a definitive answer on brexit though, because we've still got negotiations. however she has said we are aiming to leave the single market and basically have a hard brexit. thats more then enough for me. i voted leave and i dont trust that under labour we will fully leave.

Im a bit like you. I like some of labours policies. if we could get a mix of the two parties that would be great ...

If I could just interject for a moment please.
This thread has been a brilliant read and now sadly with the end in sight must come to it's final fruition.
All good things and that.

I have learned lots and what I could not glean I simply asked Jeeves and so my political knowledge base has grown immensly.
Enough for me to now make an educated vote tommorow instead of just saying I work int mill own a ferret and am voting Labour.
Or I like shrubberies and hate greenhouse gas so shall vote Green.
Or I vote Conservative as May is for stability personal responsibility hard graft morals and the importance of family life home ownership and our national security.

I have also learned lots of new sweary words and debating nuanaces.
So what is it going to be tommorow lads.
Is it red or blue for you ?
Will Fumble and Boy agree to disagree or end up making the Perfect Chip
An incredible 800 plus posts.

I think from all the contingencies on here the conservative lads have edged the debate.
But the labour lads have shown a passion to be poud of and maybe just maybe with Diane having to stand down through ill health they may make it past that winners post. This is politics and all is possible as Brexit has shown.Nothing cast in stone so do venture out and draw of your cross.

Here are two music tracks for both main parties.
If not appropriate moderation then please move to our Juke Box.
Well done one and all and have a nice cup of tea taking time of course to compose yourselves.
Cometh the morrow cometh the man.

For labour..

For Conservatives.
