In 1987, British Secret Intelligence Service, MI6 reported that Britains premier tool makers, Matrix Churchill supplied equipment to Iraqi arms factories. A little before Blair came to office.

As someone that has just been reading the last 20 odd pages to catch up

Can I respectfully suggest that a number of you guys - not just you - are taking this thread way off track

This is the morning of the election in the UK - should we not be focussing on that?

Fuck me - I will come back later when the thread might be back on topic
Sorry!..... I'm really at a loss as to how/why the average working class brit are voting for Tory. Do I really need to go back 700+ pages to get a better perspective?

LOL People who disagree with you are scum. You must be one of those liberal, progressive, understanding, and inclusive lefties.

If you'd seen first hand the devastating effect their policies have had on some of our societies most vulnerable, you might feel the same way.

No. They've been brainwashed into thinking we can't afford anything other than tax cuts for the rich and 5 more years of spitefulness from the conservatives.

I'm at a loss about it myself, because in the not too distant future all the algorithms will soon be making those happy clappers unemployed and they will be tasting their own medicine.

I'm so sorry but as an aged ex brit military, you and many others have been fed bullshit. Proud to be Brit. No I'm not!
I didnt know @worsleyweb was ex military but does explain his viewpoint. Same as my fathers last year, and while tomorrow he will stillvote Tory, he is probably more left than he has ever been. His ex servicemen friends have the same viewpoint as well

In the next couple of hours people in the UK will be awakening and poised to make probably the biggest political decision i have seen in my 39 years as a UK citizen.

I really do hope that people have really researched the parties policies and try to distinguish not only what is the best choice for you, but as lots of people have shown by their patriotism and empathy over recent weeks with the attacks at home, but what is the best choice for the country and your fellow Brits.

No matter whether you're left, right or dead centre i wish everyone the best of luck.

I also wish to add that i have really been astounded by some posters. Posters like @Bigga @Magicpole that i found myself agreeing with and @worsleyweb and others that i disagree with.

Whether or not you have agreed with my left wing views or my support for JC, i want to take the opportunity to apologise to thise i have offended. Its not been an intention to do this. Having worked with an NGO for the last 5 years that is very active in Syria it has completely changed my outlook on life and on policies. I try no longer to be the aggresive, self centered, arrogant prick i once used to be on this board and try to put others before my own wellbeing. There is only one race in this world and its the huamn race. Lets stop educating ourselves and allowing religion and fascists to drive a wedge between our race. We are all the same inside. Some have to search deeper to make a change and become the people we become and we can only do that by educating ourselves in the proper way. Not the way our Western ideoligies state.

The human heart knows the difference between right and wrong even if your braib tells you different. Follow your heart people and remember, whatever the decision is, we are one country and must unite through one of the toughest times in our recent political history.

Good luck one and all and may you all have a great election day

Sorry. That reads wrong. I'm the ex military!

The problem is Teresa May in every interview comes across so robotic and there's no warmth to her.. so when she's talking about things like dementia tax or the disabled she portrays a heartless woman...

I've heard a conspiracy theory that the Tories wouldn't mind losing this election, and then when Labour make a pigs ear of the Brexit process, the Tories will come rolling in on there white horse to save the day !
