Another wild day of MLS.

A lot of the favorites before the season began find themselves winless after two weeks.

Vancouver, Columbus, NYRB, Seattle combined have 0 points after two weeks. A fact no one would have guessed or bet on before the season began.

Colorado, the worst team in the West last season, stunned LA Galaxy in the final minute with a 1-0 win.

Dallas, another strong favorite, had 4 goals hung on them in the first 27 minutes of play in the Texas derby. Dallas was 3-0 against Houston last season.

Galaxy with a dagger at the death... Gerrard is SHIT and the fans know it. I wonder how long our manager can keep playing him more than 60 minutes

Meanwhile Sporting KC has two wins in two. And Englishman Dom Dwyer scored two the other night!

Figured this thread needed to be resurrected.
This season is completely baffling, mainly due to the fact that the Colorado Rapids are on top of the table. They're playing stifling defense and have shown ability to go forward. If they had a competent GK, they'd be clear of the rest by 5 points at least. Tim Howard will make his debut on 4 July and as long Jones and Gashi stay healthy and Pappa comes back soon....they'll be in great shape.

No-one is looking that great so far. MLS games get very stretched very early on and it's no surprise that the two sides who made it to the MLS Cup final last season, Columbus and Portland, were the two most disciplined, relatively speaking. This is what is paying off for the Rapids at the moment. I like the look of San Jose so far - fairly compact and organised and should've beat the Galaxy yesterday.

What I like about the Rapids is that they are playing more disciplined. They're not giving away cheap fouls and Pablo Mastroeni finally has the help on the bench that he needs with John Spencer joining in the winter. They've gone 8 matches unbeaten and those matches include wins over NYRB, Seattle 2x, SKC 2x and RSL. Plus they were able to get a point in Montreal after being down 1-0 and 2-1. This is a very good squad that will only get better when they have everyone in the fold. Jermaine Jones is exactly what the team needed.
