General transfer rumours

Looking at these figures £34m for Mane, £31m for Batshuayi, £40m+ for Stones. Auba at £58m would be good value...
 
Fucking palace spending 31 mill pounds. We got Aguero for 38 mill. This is insane money for the likes of Palace, would never have thought Palace would be spending that much in my life.
 
I think this will be the summer where people start to realise just how ridiculous the new PL TV deal is. That a bottom half/mid table team like Palace can be throwing in £30m+ bids for players is just insane.
 
Anyone who thought the league will remain the same is in for a big shock, every premier league club can now outbid 90% of other europeon clubs, Every club will have serious quality and the squads will improve. Top 4 will be realistic for maybe 8 or 9 clubs this year.

I get your point, and I agree that many will be competing for the top 4, but it will require more than a couple signings for some of the unusual suspects to get their way into the top 4. I know what Leicester did last year, and to an extent Spurs, but I cannot see another season anytime soon where City, United, Chelsea, and to an extent Arsenal underperform as much as they all did this season. Would bank on at least 3 of those to make top 4.

The evidence of the history of the Premier league is that money buys success, and if the likes of Palace, Leicester etc are throwing money at European and African players then they will get a bigger share of the talent that used to go to or stay in Germany, Spain, France etc. Stands to reason it will have an effect. Maybe wont be an earthquake. The big clubs will still spend more and they have the lure of the Champions league. But City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc can't buy all the top players each window. Now mid-table teams will be 2nd in line above clubs like Schalke, Lyon, Inter etc. For example, Dzeko is being offered to premiership clubs according to rumour
