It's a fair point, this is after all a job to these guys, if someone else offered me more money to do the same job I wouldn't think twice and taking it. I think the thing that speaks volumes is that it’s a 1 year deal. He could be instrumental to keeping them up and then get a big move out of it. Its not a bright move though. He is plating for relegation fodder. If he has one bad season then nobody is going to go near him with the wages he demands. Could have signed a 4 year and gaurenteed some stable income regardless of his form

yes mate we have one in there. i seen a report that newcastle were going to offer £35m and if that was accepted then we would receive £5m.
