gala has a new sport director (vice president actually, called erden timur. london school of economics graduate)...Zaha to Galatasaray. Bit weird.
:)) i can write a 1000 page book about Gala... but this forum is not the place; it is a city forum...i dont wanna talk too much.
but the thing is, Galatasaray is not a football or sports club. it is a high school founded in 15th century (prob one of the best high schools in the world- also we have a university). Saray means (palace), the high school (you ve seen it, it was just in front of nevizade) was founded to produce executives for Ottoman Empire; the roots are from France...(Fenerbahce calls Gala that we are not turks, we are from France, actually they are half right :)) ).... so; anyway i ll keep it short.
Galatasaray most of times are managed by high elite businesman (they are kind a masonic); strange guys.
they have really very interesting connections businesswise. they did it in 80s and 90s; again tried to do it in 2011-13; but it is not easy to do things in turkey. every sucess is punished in a short while.
as i wrote yesterday, again they are trying to do interesting things ( i really do not understand how they are doing it, turkey is bankrupt, they are taking a big risk). anyway, we will see what will happen.
check this week. big transfers are coming again.
cheers.
thanks mate. i will be in the forum till forever i hope. this is the only forum i am in.. england and esp manchester is very important for me. i am so happy to be here..Fascinating summary mate & thanks for sharing. Was a regret of mine in not trying to hunt you down in Nevizade street & share a beer with you during the epic City Istanbul weekend. Hope you stick around on Bluemoon & a testament to how this forum can actually form new positive friendships & local info.
Eddie rarely make those level of saves, going by that do you think Trafford is better than Eddie?
A half decent Sunday league goalkeeper wouldn't be part of a team playing in the UCL final. I get the whole banter thing but Onana is a top goalkeeper. What a silly thing to say. Not passing comment on his ability, but a half decent sunday league would have made all those saves.
Onana is a good goalkeeper but he wont have the ultra defensive inter team ahead of him which makes a differenceA half decent Sunday league goalkeeper wouldn't be part of a team playing in the UCL final. I get the whole banter thing but Onana is a top goalkeeper.
