Looks like Arsenal are going to get Merino
He'd have been a very good Rodri understudy, but why would he avcept that when he starts every game for arsenal

Arsenal play with a midifeld 3, Odegaard and Rice play pretty much every game
Rice did better as a #8 than a #6 (same as at West Ham)
Merino plays the #8 and #6 roles, he'll play with Rice and they'd probably swap during the game
He's an upgrade over Jorginho and Partey (who has his off the field issues)

That Moreno lad couldn't get a game for Newcastle years ago when they were shit, I've only seen him in the Euros which he played well to be fair, I've not seen him for Sociedad over the last few years.
