Maybe Pep thinks in next 12 months or so a couple more youth players will be ready so adding one or two cheaper older players who can still play to a desired level will suffice?

I think that's a good replacement really, considering they will probably struggle to attract many better players. He is a good player in the right team.

I assume we would make it a condition of the transfer that he has to play both matches against us
