If I were Everton I would do a swap deal.
Let's say mangler is worth £10m (if only). For the purpose of the deal say £1m
So buy stones for £40m plus mangler ((£1m) total £41m. Barnsley then get their percentage of £41 mill instead of the £50m true value.
