I recall during one of the European U21 Championships that everyone was watching out for Isco and Martinez but it was Illarramendi whole stood out the most. He'd had a brilliant season for Sociedad and shone for the Spanish U21 and Real snapped him up straight after the tournament.

From the beginning he was never really given a chance to shine, and it essentially went down hill from there on. I'd be willing to take a chance on him for the right price.
