General transfer rumours

French source RMC reported back in June that Arsenal were keen on the Ivorian, who has impressed new Gunners boss Unai Emery.

"Jean-Philippe is not on the market," Schroeder added. "We too have some ambitions, and he's a big part of our plans for the new season."

Wonder if this was us being discrete

How does he compare with Eric Garcia? I have been really impressed with him on the pre-season tour.
Haven't seen enough of Garcia ( or Sandler for that matter), but they both hump off the screen. Albeit for different reasons. Garcia is simply a smarter defender than most I've seen at that age ( or any age for that matter), Sandler on the other hand is more athletic and comfortably skilled.

I don't wanna be Corny but he looks ( both in hairstyle and in playing style) like a Skinny David Luiz.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (Bayern Munich) on Manchester City and transfer inflation: "He [Guardiola] said they originally planned to buy a few more players but decided against it because they no longer want to be part of the madness."

Rummenigge: "I was a bit surprised to hear this at first, but then I thought it would indeed be wonderful if this statement were to be true until the English window closes. City, PSG -- they've always been the global inflaters."

Think he’d feel more comfortable in a Germany from the late 30s. F*ckin elitist c*nt.

It’s easy to continue to whine about transfer fees when you tap up your country’s best players and get them to run down contracts to join on a free. Bayern picked apart that Dortmund team and poach all the talent in the league then get on their high horse about fees

Agree....but if Pep has said this, it might explain why we've not signed anyone since we missed on Jorginho.

Typical from that absolute knob. United, Real, Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona have all got higher record transfer fees than we do. Expect nothing less for a team as devoid of morals as Bayern.
