That's not true, we can have all 25 club trained. The limits are in the other direction.

We are currently one over, but all depends on who and how many take up the 17 non home grown spots. In theory yes, if two leave one would come in to stay at the same number. If 3 leave, 2 come in etc. At least we know Carson will be here forever.

It is entirely true. I was very specific with the wording, I said we can have 4 registered as club trained, I never said we can only have 4 club trained players which you are implying i said. More than 4, the overspill will be registered under the 4 homegrown/17 open spots.

Your post literally says we can 'only' have 4 registered. Check it back in my response.

But granted, the second part goes on to clarify, for anyone wanting to switch on. Which lets face it is not the majority of this thread. Including me, in that moment.

Yes and what i said is correct. Theres a distinction here between players registered as club trained and players who are eligible for club trained registration.

We can have players in the squad who are eligible for club trained status that aren't registered as club trained. The entire squad in theory can be club trained but we can only have 4 registered as that, that's the limit, afterwards they are registered in a different category either as one of the permitted 4 homegrown or as one of the permitted 17 free/open spots.

I get it.

It was just poorly worded.

The fact you have to explain it to two posters should tell you that. But yeah fair enough, it is correct.
