General transfer rumours

Hmmmmm, fair play to the scousers getting deals done early, good top quality players coming in they will be a huge threat if they can eradicate the inconsistency that has plagued them every season, time for us to flex our muscles now ..

Agree mate....deals done early, no haggling, no drama......dont you just hate it!;)

Still plenty of time for us to get deals sorted but just get a touch of deja vu with us after winning previous titles ..

Agreed. When a player like bernado signed so quickly it made city look like the boss, no haggling or dicking about his choice was clear. Long drawn out transfer sagas don’t usually benefit anyone.

I suspect at least one from
Fekir, Fabinho and Keita will flop. Whilst they are assembling an impressive squad, we were by far the best team in the country last season during which Salah had a freakish campaign.

At this juncture, it’s difficult to say who will be our closest rivals. Arsenal, Spurs, United and Chelsea shouldn’t be completely written off, and we won’t necessarily improve.

Going forward that attack has the potential to be the best in the world. Hopefully their defence will fuck them up again.

Defence has been good since the Tottenham game. 2nd place in PL when it comes to goals conceeded and most clean sheets, if I remember correctly. It was actually good before VVD.

Now Liverpool has a solid, physical 6, for the first time in ages. They have a box2box player that can break lines and they have a trickster that can help break down busses. A backup for Mané/Salah and things are looking good!

Ffs we might as well pack it in then, was good while it lasted reading some of the posts the scousers have it won already, good top quality signings but let’s see how that equates onto the pitch, throw in the pressure klopp will be under to obtain silverware..

Agree mate....I think we seeing the difference between a team hungry to win something and want to catch us at all costs (Liverpool) and a team that just had a 100 point season and is relaxed going into the summer transfer window.....Problem is we relax too much and we'll fall behind. We had a few hard lessons after successful seasons in the past and I think that sticks in peoples minds but chairman has said we wont let that happen again...seeing these signing does make you wish that sometimes we were alittle more decisive/showed alittle more urgency in some of our transfer dealings but anyone that follows the transfer thread over the years knows we have a particular way of doing business and the clubs transfer plan isnt always set at the same speed as the supporters! ;)

Yeah good post mate, sums it up let’s just wait and see..

Does not matter who dippers buy they will always look like a great teams against top 4 then lose to relegation teams.. they won’t ever be consistent through a long season.

Wow! People might even say that next year is their year.

Lol I would normally agree but the dippers are going to be a force next season no doubt!
I recognize that, but trust Armaan to keep wondering why we doddid get this Liverpool player or that one. Lol. Let's get our own players. They have a system, we have one. It's going to be competitive. I look forward to the challenge. I was a little bored with the German league type cake walk this season to be fair.

So let's have at it. Mane, Salah, Firmino, Fekir and Keita bring your "Armaan loving A games." Let's have at this.

Same is ready, Sterling and the English contingent will be home soon. Add A few studs (Ndombele pleas) and let's have at it. :)

Great business for Liverpool.

Sold Coutinho for 142m and bought Fekir, Fabinho & Keita for around 150m.

Keita & Fekir are exceptional players while Fabinho is reliable.

Wonder how long that Coutinho money is going to last. When they bought VVD for 75 mil, scousers said it was the Coutinho money. 170 mil later (Fekir, Fabinho, Keita), it's still the Coutinho money. Most amazing thing is that 140 mil seems to be accepted fee when it's actually 105 mil with the rest in bonuses related to number of goals, trophies, etc.
