Alvarez is worth what someone wants to pay. If he was worth more we would have a transfer battle for him.Spurs paying £65 million for Solanke and nobody is really even questioning it that much as it's probably not far off market value. This shows just how cheaply we are letting Alvarez go. There's no strikers on the market and we are selling one of the best around for the same as solanke with potential for an extra £17 million.
Always said he's worth comfortably north of £100 million in this market. Enzo left river plate similar time for similar money and went for over £100million aftebonot doing as much as Alvarez has done, even if we're getting a club record fee, it's still really cheap.
And to think there were people here who were delighted with the initial £60 million reports.

My mind still wants to see him as an incredible 19 year old Ajax prospect, reality is he bombed at Juve and failed at bayern who were both delighted to offload him relatively soon after signing him for increasingly lower fees. That's a pattern that should get the alarm bells ringing. If you're behind Eric Dier in the pecking order theres something wrong.
