Think they're waiting too long, and maybe players are seeing that they can't really flex their finances like they want to

Missing out on Joao Pedro would've been a blow, he has the ability to cover multiple positions including as backup to Isak

Think Guehi would be theirs if Liverpool didnt show their interest and with Konate with a year left and VVD 34 that's a viable option for him

Think Elanga is the wrong move, think with Mbuemo and Kudus available for slightly more they much better suit their needs

Think Mbeumo priced himself out via his salary demands, but think to get to the next level they should be overpaying that little bit...God knows we had to when we wanted to get to title challenging level

Also think Eze would be a great buy for them, but again looks like they may be beaten to the punch

One benefit of missing out in these guys are their are more options across Europe who'd be a damn sight cheaper
 
Newcastle needs a RW, CB and striker yet they go for Elanga another right footed LW with Gordon and Barnes already isn’t he squad.
I guess there‘s a limit they want to spend on each their targets which is right but makes it harder to attain those players obviously.
Also Chelsea and Liverpool being interested in the same players makes it harder too.


Pedro already played for Chelsea in the CWC and had a good game, Kudus seems Chelsea/ Spurs bound and Guehi is most likely Liverpoll bound. All players that would help them and have them more depth.
I can see Newcastle ( if they have a spending limit) hijacking Ligue 1. there’s several talent that help then.

Arsenal if they get Gyokeres as well as Eze into their squad with Zubimendi in that midfield have very quietly but greatly improved themselves again and will be a real problem unfortunately
 
Arsenal are making some good signings but they don’t worry me whilst Arteta’s in charge. He’s too emotional.

Disagree there mate, he’s maybe but I sense it’s how Pep is as well when you know you could blood something amazing? They have an incredible squad soon that are all vibrant and desperate to win? Adding that top class striker, Zubimendi and Eze will make them a hell of a squad, arguably better than ours unfortunately

I don’t see Gyokeres as a top class striker. I know he bagged a hat-trick against us but two were penalties and defensively we were all over the place. I think Sesko has far greater potential.

If we can bring in a right back, I’d still have our squad over theirs. Most of their goals come from set-pieces and you’d like to think teams would be more aware of this now.

reading posts on here the rags have better squad than us
