When he speaks out using his platform about mens mental health?
or #fuckthetorys?

To me Paddy is just a huge contradiction. He wants to play the humble working class lad when it suits, but acts like an arrogant bell end at the same time.

I also cannot be arsed with people who constantly feel the need to tell me where they’re from every other sentence as well.

I get that people have a close affinity to their hometown. But the constant preaching that Liverpool is somehow unique or superior to all other places is tiresome. I fully expect him to come out saying “this means more” after his next fight.

The sad thing is that he is a skilled martial artist and I think he could tone down his act by 50% and still as popular. However, he seems to have made the decision to go full on McGregor, which is a shame because McGregor is one of the biggest wankers in sporting history.

I don't see either of them being champion, Paddy will get ran through by the top 5 in his weight class, and meatball ain't in the same stratosphere as

Was on twitter last month calling a boxer a tory **** whilst he was grieving the lost of his dad. Also a xenophobic prick.

I will call the Chamaev vs Diaz fight EXTREMELY one sided and Diaz will finally retire!

When was the last time Diaz has been in a truly competitive fight? McGregor 2?

He appears to only exist so other fighters can beat him and hype up their reputation.

Chimaev should be backing up his last win with a fight against Covington/Masvidal and solidifying his claim to the winner of Usman/Edwards.

Clearly Covington and Masvidal backed off fighting this kid.

As much as I dislike Diaz, I have to give him props for this payday.

You can’t fault Diaz for getting his pay day.

However, the UFC used to be about putting the best against the best. Yet it seems that Diaz and McGregor can still walk into headline fights despite not having a win between them in over 3 years.

I also don’t think for a second that Covington backed off fighting him. Chimaev is probably the only fight that would guarantee him another title shot. I think it’s more likely that the UFC want Usman v Chimaev next as the appetite Usman v Covington 3 isn’t there.

Well, that doesn't make any sense.

If Covington is not avoiding Chimaev, why allow him to fight Diaz to fight Usman when Covington could make a statement by dismantling Chimaev?

Of course it makes sense.

You’ve stated yourself that Diaz will get battered by Chimaev. There will then be serious hype for the Usman/Chimaev fight.

However, put Chimaev against Covington, which should be the fight to make, then there’s a serious chance that Covington wins. That would leave a Usman Covington 3 which is nowhere near as lucrative for the UFC.

I’m struggling to see why Covington would be avoiding Chimaev when he’s fought far more dangerous opposition than him previously and the fight could be his ticket to a title shot.
