General UFC thread

Total novice to UFC but saw MB v DH on catch-up.
Got the feeling that if Henderson was a bit younger he'd have finished the fight when he had the chance but his age and Bisping's reach advantage did for him.
Judges scoring seemed fair enough to me.
 
Just watching it now, Different breed these fighters. How the feck Bisping could even carry on in that first round after getting heavily decked and then repeatedly smashed with elbows while on the ground is beyond me.
 
Got to say I either thought Henderson won or it was a draw. Think Bisping got the old, home-town favourable decision.

Although, how he continued after two of Hendersons over hand rights I'll never know.

Great contest though.

He won the belt after being smashed square on in the face by an Anderson Silva knee as well (a sly one at that when he was talking to the ref about losing his mouthguard for those that don't know). Warrior.
 
I thought the result was the right one. Bisping was the more active fighter and landed more punches all though the more noticeable ones were obviously the 2 H bombs by Henderson. I think age definitely caught up with Henderson as he was blowing hard after 2 rounds and the break he got for being kicked in the bollocks gave him the second wind he needed to last out the fight.

I don't think Bisping will hold the belt for much longer though.
 
Gastelum didn't make the weight so the fight against Cowboy is off.

It's a shame as I was looking forward to that one.

Out of the whole card I looked at, this fight for me seems the most interesting one in terms of fighter potential and possible contest between each other.

The main show fight for me will be shit, bloody mink coats and all this disrespectful shit talk, I can't stand it all.
I know it isn't real and in reality they are sound with each other but I just find it distracts kids new to the sport away from the actual arts and intellect required to study and practice these disciplines which are mixed in MMA.

I suppose ufc have to get the wwe kids attention somehow.

If connor doesn't ko him inside two alvarez will win. One thing about Alvarez is if he hurts you he swings like an animal, I'd say connor is the favourite but I can see Alvarez winning as well. Close to 50/50.
 
By the way... boxing fans must really feel like shit when they say how stacked these ufc cards are lmao.
 
Joanna, Wonderboy and McGregor for the win. Great show so far. Even the Prelims are main card worthy.

Khabib/Rumble up soon that could literally headline it's own PPV
