Playing it right now on my Xbox Series X

I have just watched the first 20 minutes of CP and it looks amazing. Graphics are superb and story line is gripping. The first person shooting mechanics look great as does the driving. I may have to invest and find time to play this.

Been playing for 5 hours now and here's my impressions on Cyberpunk. No spoilers.

The graphics are truly outstanding. Night City looks amazing(Playing the Corpo path so not been to the Wildlands yet). It actually looks better at night with the neon lights. The attention to detail is off the charts. Night City is a living breathing world. The characters facial expressions are the best I've ever seen. They put games like Fallout and the elder Scrolls to shame and the animations are fantastic.

I'm playing on a Xbox Series X in performance mode so it's running 60fps at 1080-1440P and I've had NO issues at all. I've seen one bug in 5 hours and that was a gun floating in the air after I killed someone.

Voice acting is brilliant and it really gets you invested into the story and choices absolutely matter. The dialogue options are crazy. I've never seen so many choices and they all change the game. I did a mission twice using different dialogue options and the mission panned out wildly different depending on my dialogue choice.

This is a full on RPG. It's not GTA in the future. The skill tress are massive and there's so many mechanics I've still not got my head round it. You'll be doing a Lot of reading. There's lore shards all over the place and it's really worth reading it(or having some knowledge of cyberpunk). You'll also be talking a lot to different characters I've only been involved in 2 big firefights in 5 hours and just can't go on a rampage as the police will just kill you instantly.

Gun play is very good. Each weapon feels different and has weight to them.

This is an extremely mature game very very dark themes and yes you can adjust your bits and bods!!

Only completed 3 main missions and 4 side missions and my mission log is already big. There is a ridiculous amount to do. Only been in 3 districts of Night City as well.

Just taking my time with it but I have a feeling I'm going to get absolutely lost in this game

Is it multiplayer or single?

Wow sounds brilliant, really looking forward to getting my hands on a ps5 soon and this will be my first purchase.

Not a good start. Taken me three attempts to launch the game, crashed twice on the CDPR splash screen.... Sign of things to come?
Keep us updated, mate.

I was going to pre-order but decided to wait as I only have a 2018 PS4 and I am reading/hearing some concerning things about how it runs on old gen consoles, even with the day one patch.

It was also slightly concerning that CDPR didn’t provide PS4 code to reviewers pre-launch and only allowed pre-approved, pre-recorded in-game video to be used for the PC version reviews before release time. I know most of those, even with high end gaming PCs, said it was incredibly buggy, at times game-breakingly so, and many were concerned about how it would run on the consoles with old hardware (especially those that may already have cooling issues due to the thermal paste on the GPU being long dead).

It sounds like it could be an amazing game (I have played every Deus Ex and Fallout game made and loved most of them) but it may not be truly that until 3 months after release when the bugs are well and truly squashed and those of us choosing not to (or that cannot) upgrade to next gen just yet can play it without setting our home ablaze.

Of course, those with next gen can probably churn through the bugs (and save reloads to overcome the game-breaking ones), just enjoying how beautiful the game is.

Does anyone have problems with DX12 crashing games? Only have trouble with Metro Exodus upto yet. I've got all the updates. I've also turned cloud saves of as this was an issue

All good here, only have metro 33 to try and replicate so probably not good comparison.

Had a wee sneaky couple of hours with Cyberpunk last night. This is going to be a game you can sink hours into without really doing that much, it's totally engrossing.
Didn't really encounter any bugs as far as I could tell, certainly nothing obvious and it ran really well on my system which is reasonably high end, although I wasn't sure how much it would punish my RTX 2080 Super. First impressions are promising in terms of performance.
The map does seem like it will be pretty hideous as you rack up more quests and icons appear all over it, would hope something gets done with that.
Main issue so far was any menus auto scrolling right down to the bottom when I had my PS4 controller connected which made it pretty unplayable. Had to restart my PC with it disconnected and just go with mouse and keyboard to resolve that.

Same here. Impossible to find a ps5 at the min unless you want ripped off.

Crowd density is CPU heavy and the old consoles have always used the awful jaguar CPUs. That were weak at launch in 2013, let alone now.

Still trying to decide whether to get the game on PC (i7 4790, GTX 1060 6GB), PS4 Pro or just a wait until I get a PS5 sometime next year. Which I assume with the full next gen patch will look much closer to the 2018 trailer.

What's everyones thoughts on Control? I saw it relatively cheap on CDKeys for PC and was thinking about getting it and seeing what it's like with RTX on..
The story seemed interesting, but I stopped about 3/4 of the way because other games caught my attention. In terms of graphics, it takes some rig to run it at it's best. I couldn't put ray-tracing on at 1440p at hold 60fps with an RTX 2070 super. On console it looked even worse.

I imagine the new GPUs will handle it better. If you're happy with a lower resolution it's good enough I guess.

I'm gonna be playing on GFN which IIRC is using T10-8 GPU which I believe is equivalent to 2080 Ti Super. Since they 3080's are out (?) they've probably upgraded since i last checked.
