General Videogame Thread

Anyone else played Battle Brothers? My brother sent it me on Steam for Christmas and I've finally got round to playing it and it's weirdly addictive. No explanations or tutorials and a shit load of things that can pretty much cripple your army instantly at the start, but on my 5th go now and I'm getting the hang of it. It's a bit like an old heroes of might and magic game combined with Xcom, which suits me perfectly as I love both those series

Nioh, a Dark Souls inspired game by Team Ninja and exclusive to PS4, is reviewing extremely well.

Currently sitting at 87 on Metacritic and described by Kotaku as 'Samurai Bloodborne'.

Played this cracking little game called Limbo on the Xbox 1 recently. A wickedly dark puzzle game, highly recommend it.

Played a bit more this afternoon with 3 mates. Fuck me this game is shite. Driving mechanics are awful. It's a game designed so you can go anywhere and approach missions from any angle but where's the fun in that if getting there is annoying as fuck?

Timed missions? Get to the next radar in 1 minute...Go. Very poor design.

Other cars/ people. Thick as shite.

It plays like the bad bits from Just Cause 3's driving and Far Cry 4's guns.

You can't run over cows. You can shot them. No idea why.

In fact it is JC3 without the teather...i.e the fun bit.

You can't roll. Cover means crouching behind something, no hugging a wall and peaking out.

Won't be buying it.

Don't think I'll bother then, got a steam voucher, don't know what to use it on now :(

Just Cause 3 and the dlc. Plus there's a multiplayer for it now. Madness but great fun.

It's a great series and worth a play.

Exactly so to be 27.99 is well over the top imo when there are already decent survival games out on steam for half the price with very active devs.

Turned out to be false. However Rockstar have agreed pre-order deals and bundles with retailers so an announcement wont be too far off

Yeah £28 is steep, reason why I've stayed away tbh. I'd pay £20 max for an early access game, but really price should be £18 tops.

Mate has played it all weekend he is fed up now lol, Rust use to be great griefing people was top. Anyone play rocket league on pc at a high standard?

Grant Kirkhope and David Wise doing the soundtrack. Playtonic being majority Rareware staff, can't wait.

Plus it's coming to the Switch. Mario Odyssey and Yooka-Laylee in the same year. 3D platformers coming back.

Activision have said the next franchise "will take CoD back to it's roots" which suggests it may go back to WW2. That would be awesome if they did, I imagine they would after the good reception Battlefield 1 has received being set in WW1.
