General Videogame Thread

What platform mate? My sister wants to buy it her husband for Christmas :)

Says "We are delighted to inform you that you have been selected to receive a voucher to save £5 when you order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PlayStation or Xbox, to thank you for purchasing video games with Amazon."

RDR2 just keeps blowing me away. If it’s not the scenery, it’s just the sheer fun to be had everywhere. Only just found St Denis, what a new world that opens up. Love it

haha not on my horse! have done a few times as Arthur. but yeah, lifted that gameplay off of youtube
Absolutely nailed my thoughts on the game there though, it really is perfectly paced for me and allows the player to really immerse themselves in the beauty of the world. In far too many games there is so much going on you never really take the time to approciate how the environment looks and reacts around you. From the camp area and forrest to the frozen areas up north, to the swamps i found a few days ago, it really is breathtaking.

My only drawback on that is that with so much to explore and do the main story gets slightly lost as i only seem to do one mission every few hours. By the time i get back to a main mission, i've kind of forgotton what i was actually doing it for.

I've been doing the story missions quite close together, and then at the beginning of each chapter just going off and exploring/doing side missions until I'm a bit bored and it's worked quite well for me.

My only complaint is I have an absurd amount of money and I've run out of things to spend it on.

Yes i think thats what i need to start doing, i just get so easily distracted and bugger off fishing for 2 hours.

Same actually. I basically just think every few hours 'guess I should do a mission now!' I think i'm quite content with that though. Feel like i'm slowly exhausting meandering about near Valentine so i'll probably start to clear some missions and get to the end of Chapter 2.

Not a bad approach. I seem to have absolutely fuck all money most of the time! I did spend it on pointless camp upgrades, like a hitching point and chicken coop. Dunno why. Spent a shit load on an outfit too, which fucking disappeared typically cos of a glitch, and a lot on horse saddle upgrades. Largely skint though now.

Rob some stuff! Banks are best. There's a story mission in Chapter 3 which nets you a lot of money and since then I've had more than I can spend.

Do the treasure maps you'll have plenty of money then :)

Ha too honourable. Does it not end with a ridiculously high bounty that renders the rewards kinda cancelled out?

This is a burning question for me. I got told about the dodgy goings-on in the back of the doctors in valentine, so I went to rob it, stole $50 and ended up with a $100+ bounty. Seems a bit daft and counter productive. I even had my bandana over my face.

That's my dilemma. If it means I can't just roam about without people constantly trying to hunt me if I step into an interesting place like Valentine, then it feels a bit pointless to me.

Same here got inside and clocked the safe on the wall before realising I didnt have any dynamite to blow it. The only way im making money at the minute is flogging stuff to the fence, all keeps going on the bounties im accidentally racking up.
