Also, can't wait for the Vaudevillians to get bumped up to main roster; love their vignettes. With Devitt now in NXT, it really will show up the likes of RAW.

Seamus as a heel is dead. Devitt could well lead into that change. Him and Seamus doing some sort of gang AKA Celtic Warriors or some bullshit think if he progresses well Devitt could well do some good things in WWE.

Séamus' would work a lot better if they spelt the name right.
I liked Finlay as well ability wise etc. It's more the green leotard with a shamrock on it, the shillelagh etc. Fair enough, if you want address the fact he's Irish, but a leprechaun side kick...JoeMercer'sWay said:pudge said:True, but what about Finlay? Didn't have a problem with the original WWE Finlay, I liked the simple, tough Irishman role and the Shillelagh was a nice weapon of choice imo. Once Hornswoggle came in that was the end of it, a character that just made me want Goldberg to come in and spear him over and over until he quit, just a blood boiling character.

I just don't think there's a need to address the fact Devitt's Irish with a semi racist gimmick. Or anyone really; they've dropped the yodelling Cesaro. It gives me comfort thinking he wouldn't leave arguably the second biggest wrestling company to do so at WWE. He's Japan's top gaijin without a such a gimmick. Especially as they have the "token" Irishman in Séamus.
Granted, we'll all have to wait and see how he debuts it;s just WWE has history for it; personally I hope it doesn't happen again. All I'm saying is that I hope Devitt in the WWE is the Devitt we have now.

I guess, but sometimes it works, I mean for Barrett having "God save the queen" at the start of his theme really works, yet he doesn't have a really stereotypical British gimmick, whilst Drew McIntyre didn't have a gimmick at all 2bh.
The difference between Devitt and Finlay/Sheamus is the latter looked stereotypically Irish and therefore are likely to have that exploited, whereas Devitt looks a lot more generic in that sense.
