Holy shit. That’s a prime Steve Austin level pop.

I can't believe he's back in a wrestling ring again :)

Pop was next level. Reaction from the crowd for me makes everything.

2nd best return since Edge return at the Rumble imo

Gets a lot of shit but happy to hear this.

Fucking hell, and to think I called myself a fan at one point but never knew of this. Hoping he will bring back the good days when he gets more control as Vince eventually steps back. I like to think he (HHH) and the McMahon kids know what the people really want. I'm 30 now and if WWE ever went back to an Attitude Era, I'd be watching.

I also think WWE will be fine. WCW needed to poach two of the WWF’s biggest stars at the time in Hall and Nash and then turn the biggest star in wrestling Hulk Hogan heel to become the world’s biggest wrestling promotion (and that lasted only 83 weeks). Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson just showing up isn’t going to change the landscape. Even though WWE isn’t what it was, it’s still the grandest stage of them all in terms of professional wrestling. As for CM Punk, he’s an ingrate. If it wasn’t for his time in WWE, nobody would care about him and he wouldn’t be a millionaire.

Also, WWE doesn't even try to appeal to 'wrestling' fans. It's going for universal entertainment, it always has done.

It's why I don't watch it (barring the big PPVs) these days, because I actually preferred when it was wrestling. But tbf to WWE, they've always been very up front about this aspect.

The problem I had with AEW when I tried it was that it was ultimately the exact same as WWE, just less sanitised, even worse structured, and whackier. It's not really 'wrestling' either but they actually pretend it is.

Until they realise this, they're always going to be seen as a knock off WWE whether they like it or not, regardless of who they bring in.

I’m still not fully behind AEW. I don’t like the fact that they’ll push one guy one week and then you won’t see him for another three or four. It feels like a mess. They signed Andrade who was desperate to get out of his WWE deal but what’s he done so far in AEW? Even less from what I’ve seen. They’re signing too many wrestlers when they only have three hours of TV to fill per week. There are also too many factions. WWE need to sort themselves out too though. I think Vince McMahon used to be brilliant but he isn’t now and should let someone else take over.

Crying shame about Scott Hall but to be fair he probably should have died years ago with his various addictions.
