That's the same comparison video I used at the 1.40 compared to the 2.19 on your original. Collins was a master of his chosen craft and although I did not automatically gel with the post Gabriel era he was certainly an amazing talent to be reckoned with, however when it's over it's over it's over and some memories are best left untouched.

Sing for us all Phil in beautiful enhanced HQ because it will be twenty minutes of a mere mortals existence about to be shaped and forever altered by the power of music and genesis's skillet which is a treasure to behold. I'm shaking, proper shaking Right Now so get me out of this cage before Banks overwhelms with his keyboard. Is this the greatest live show on Earth? It comes very very close indeed .. and now I've lost everything .. I give to you my soul.. The meaning of all I believed before escapes me.. in this world of none...no thing...no one ...There can be no words but Love.

Nothing can beat the original though Bob, with PG vocals and Steve Hackett guitar runs. The seventeen year old Saddleworth remembers the live performance as if it was yesterday. The entire LLDOB + Watcher of the Skies + the Musical Box and The Knife as a fitting finale. Gabriel with UV makeup a single spot picking out his batwing crested visage. Its only rock n roll but I liked it.
Had a look at tickets for the SE Hydro in Glasgow but will give it a swerve - little change out of £400 for Mrs S and I. Sad really, most of the 'legends' are pricing on a similar basis - Reg Dwight is even more expensive than that.
 
Just listed to that Medley three times and Chester and Philly on a drum kit has to be par excellence. Reminds me of there drum solo on Los Endos.



However in the words of that Aldi advert I like Phil and I also like Chester ...but I also like Bill. All three smashing away together in the love of their chosen craft would have verily been a sight for sore eyes. Tell me anyone hand on heart that you cannot Air-Drum to this track !

Good luck to Genesis, they will make money but their best days are behind them (especially Phil Collins)
