The citizens of America don't want the government creating anything. The government is there to build roads and stay out of people's lives. There's a reason that we still have shite healthcare plans, no mental health resources and open gun ownership. However...people would rather deal with that than be told what to do and pay more taxes for infastructure...

So the fact that the #1 reason for families and households going utterly bankrupt in America being healthcare sits fine with you? If yes, fair enough. I suppose I'll never understand this mindset. If you put a proposal such as "you and your family will get free healthcare in exchange for a little increase in your taxes, that will still amount to less per year than what you pay in insurance premiums, which you no longer have to pay" to every single individual citizen, I'm fairly certain the majority of them would gladly accept that deal, so I don't think free healthcare is something the American people are fundamentally against, I think they (people who say they oppose policy ideas such as free healthcare) have been purposely misled by corporate media who treat it like it's some kind of crazy, whacko communist idea that could never work in the real world, thus convincing people who stand to benefit the most from it to vote against their own interests.

I don't say all of this to arrogantly lecture you on what your country *should* be like. I say it as a genuinely concerned ally who wants to see your people prosper, and as someone who has close family in the country.

Its not ok for police to say "oh look, a black man lets arrest or use violence against him" and it isn't ok for the other side and its cheerleaders to say "oh look, a white man, he looks a bit racist, lets use violence against him"
