Yeah, you're right, it was a flippant remark that was a joke, didn't realise that iit was such a trigger for some in here. I guess everyone is a bit tense during these stressful times- especially the pleasant, Mr Angry 'Fuck Off' guy.

Americans have long said their right to bear arms is to stop the Government from doing what they like, this could get even more messy.

It may be true that the looting and criminality have diluted the message and aims domestically but I don't think that's the case internationally, as attested to by many of the marches going on around the world.

I remember reading Time Magazine (the American version) at the time of the Mark Duggan/looting in 2011. Over here, most people just thought it was about widespread criminality and the underclass of society stealing as much shit as they could but in America (or according to the people interviewed by the magazine), the view seemed to be that the near-entirety of the unrest was to do with Mark Duggan/police brutality.

It boggles my mind when you see things like that, things the average American family has to struggle with every single day, that they still passed up on someone like Bernie twice in favour of corporate status-quo politicians like Clinton and Biden.
