A great band from the 70's took there name from a criticism of them, someone said 'yeh they are just an average white band. They went onto be the first white band to play the Apollo Theatre in Harlem

I don’t think it’s going to be a white v black thing as we all know football firms have black members and BLM have white supporters but this is just getting fucking stupid. A lot of people are going to get hurt (including police) and god help us if someone gets killed!
I heard the police moved people away who were protecting the churchill statue and let the protesters vandalise it? If it’s true - i’m not surprised these hooligans are all meeting in London!

Johnson has repeatedly rejected calls to apologise for referring to Muslim women as “letterboxes,” black people as “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles,” and gay men as “tank-topped bum boys.”

The quotes were once again put to him by Fiona Bruce after an audience member asked him to apologise for contributing to “racist rhetoric

I literally just saw him on the news giving it the he won't tolerate racists,well look in the mirror mate,what sort of language is that to use and expect the country to act differently,he really is trumps brother by another mother ,cummings has done him not favours modelling him on Don

One thing that Tommy said in his rant does ring true. The BEHAVIOUR of BLM (not the movement just the behaviour) at weekend is creating REAL racial division between black and white in the UK of the likes we’ve not seen for many years of at all.

Generally, violent tensions between white and black have been minimal. There’s a problem with underlying racism in the UK (mainly perpetrated by white, middle class liberals who underneath the facade are the most systemically racist people) but I can see this really bubbling over seriously now. There’s nothing more than flag burning / Churchill statue defacing that’ll rile footy thugs.
 
In my opinion we need people in government with an even remote association with reality rather than public school. They can't help but be so out of touch. They are super privileged and thus have no perception of reality. This is not a political comment. I have no doubt nice people played rugger too.

You say it's done him no favours, but it seems to have got him to PM? All these previous faux pas by BJ will have been carefully calculated for electoral impact before he was allowed anywhere near the leadership. Sadly, the calculation that a large enough part of the electorate don't care is born out by the GE result. This is why there is no apology. His silence on these matters is basically a polite way of saying he's not sorry and doesn't give a fuck about the people who are outraged because they are electorally insignificant - as proven by the GE result.
