Biden, is among the worst possible options as an 'alternative' to the clown in office atm.
I believe the clear point here is neither is a solution
I think it might be fair to say that this basokla guy is the worst poster this forum has ever had.
this is a massive chance for Biden to come out and promise some kind of reform - perhaps harsher penalty's for police for any related black brutality. this would really help calm the storm
You could be right But one of them is probably the biggest **** in history.
Not that I doubt that it's a problem (and slightly undermining my previous post about not really giving a fuck about US affairs) but are there any facts/statistics on links between race and police violence? As shocking as videos on Twitter may be, they don't give always give you the full picture when it comes to nationwide issues.
During the Cold War the US military (and the USAF in particular) regarded the UK as "The unsinkable aircraft carrier". mainly due to the large numbers of US Air Force bases on UK soil. We've come full circle and are pretty much an American colony now. I can understand it to an extent with some of the online papers (where clicks from US visitors bring in £) but having it plastered all over the BBC? Same with the coverage about Trump.
Biden is the only alternative option.
So there's only one question you need to ask yourself, which is do you want Trump in office another 4 years?
And if the answer is yes, you're a racist, misogynistic bellend, and if the answer is no, you vote for Biden.
And by the way, labelling the Democrats "corrupt" in the age of the McConnell/Barr/Trump Republican party is absolutely hilarious.
He is not the only alternative, he is likely to be on the ballot for Democrats who railroaded Bernie against Hillary in the last election and again this time for Biden. They are two sides of the same coin, Repubs & Dems
Ah the either 'you're with us or you're against us' logic which is merely a different form of marketing for the lesser of two evils doctrine. It amounts to the same thing, every election - not a damn thing changes
You want to quibble about which side is more corrupt, by all means knock yourself out - I can see quite clearly from my vantage point from decades of observation, they are both corrupt to the core and have no genuine interest in greater common good. But continue being distracted
One of the hurdles to having a revolution of the magnitude you’re presumably advocating, is that a significant proportion of America, let’s call them ‘mainly Trump supporters’ isn’t on the side of the protesters/revolution. A lot of those same ‘mainly Trump supporters’ are probably armed to the teeth, and quite a few would look forward to an opportunity to bear their arms and fire their built up reserves of ammunition using those bump stocks they’ve been collecting. There’s possibly more chance of a civil/racial war in the US than of a revolution. The country is becoming more and more polarised.Solution to what? Genuine question because he is simply a continuation of what has long persisted in a corrupt democratic party
Less of two evils doctrine has done nothing to effect any actual change. Biden, is among the worst possible options as an 'alternative' to the clown in office atm. Follow his history on black issues, you don't even have to go too far back to reveal just how ridiculous it is to even have him in the conversation
System is broken (on nearly every level) and I have commented on this previously, any substantial course correction is predicated on a revolution. It must be rebuilt from the ground up
He is the only alternative.
There are going to be two names that matter on the ballot in November, Trump or Biden.
I have no doubt but ultimately it only serves to distract by focusing all the attention on one person. A change in one person will not course correct the US much less favorably impact the planet & the rest of us
Those are totals, and reminders that police killings are not just a problem suffered by black Americans — that they affect Americans of all ethnicities. But controlling for population (that is, looking at killings per million people) shows that it is black Americans who are most likely to be killed by police officers — that they are nearly twice as likely to be killed as a Latinx person and nearly three times more likely to be killed than a white person. Black Americans are also about 1.4 times more likely to be unarmed in fatal interactions with police than white Americans are (and about 1.2 times more likely to be killed unarmed than Latinx Americans).
this is a massive chance for Biden to come out and promise some kind of reform - perhaps harsher penalty's for police for any related black brutality. this would really help calm the storm
Biden clearly is a solution. He's not perfect by any means, he's not the solution but he is many orders of magnitude better than Trump and would be a desperately needed return to normalcy.
This might be the pinnacle of idiotic "both sides"-ing, when someone compares Biden's pitfalls and compares them to the worst, most racist, misogynistic, destructive president in living memory and decides that because Biden's not their perfect candidate there's no difference between the two.
Biden is the only alternative option.

Right, it seems I have to put you two (and every other person buying into this shit) straight on Biden being the ONLY solution!
Your guy Biden, crafted the Crime Bill in the early 90s that disproportionately put poor Black people in jail over their White middle and upper class counterparts for use of the SAME drug, but fashioned in a different style.
Since those same poor Black folk couldn't afford their shit neat, they diluted it, cooked it and made it into a hardened form. That drug was cocaine to White people, but you know as 'Krack' or 'Rock' over here, for poor Blacks.
Biden was PROUD of that bill, even saying that HRC was wrong for saying that Bill was ill judged. that was in 2016, he said that. He, now, rejects the Bill was his.
He also, advocated for states to build more prisons to house these new never-ending recruits, but now he claims that was State decisions.
Your guy is not a solution or part of it; he's part of the problem.
A better solution was Sanders but he, apparently, would not have beaten #45 according to the DNC establishment and the MSM.
In this climate of nonsense? With the pandemic and oppression revolt?
He was rejected because capitalism would have had to pay more towards society and he wanted to educate freely and give people free health care. That's it.
The system is a joke!
