You need to separate distaste for actions of the State of Isreal from a dislike of Jews/ Judaism. The former is I think acceptable, the later not so.

Your analogy is completely inaccurate because he never said Jews as a religion or Race, he said services of a particular country. Boycotts of Israeli goods are common place, my University actually had a referendum on whether to boycott the sale of its goods in its shop, it was overwhelming voted for.
