But you can be a pain to the establishment as an MP and still have a great deal of integrity. People like Dennis Skinner, Chris Mullin and even some Tories are able to think for themselves instead of being Central Office drones but they manage to do it without being egotistical, self-serving twats.

I do agree PB but I didn't use those examples that did deserve a mention because this thread is about the enigmatic GG.
Egotistical and self serving could be words used referring to most of the career politicians we have now so where GG is concerned it's not exactly a revelation.
My point was that at least he is interesting.
