He he remember his arse going when both he and The Goat were on the bench at Maine Rd and we were all singing for The Goat to come on and not him.

The door didn't hit him on the way out.

He played a good game when Paolo Wanchope scored three at home to Sunderland, if I remember right. But apparently he and Joe Royle didn't get on.

Scored a couple for us if I remember correctly I think at anfield and once in the league cup v gillingham. Always heard he was a city fan growing up and it was his dream to play for city which was always unbelievable at the time but the fact he went on to sign for us shows there may have been truth in that story.

He wasn't with us for long, a couple of months or so, and I seem to remember him scoring a couple of goals.

At the time it seemed unreal that a player of his stature would come to City, but didn't Joe Royle put him in his place after Weah started a team talk at half time, so Royle told him to sit down, shut up, and fuck off.

So he did!

I don't know if it's true or not, but he left us as quickly as he arrived.
