As much natural ability as anyone who's played for us but unfortunately lacked the desire. Still the most natural and exciting dribbler I've watched play for us though.
 
One of the problems he had at City was that few of the other players were on his wavelength, I think at his best (before Nicky Summerbee took him boozing every night!) he would have been a handy squad player in the current set-up. His dribbling skills were exceptional and his finishing wasn't too shabby.

No application or desire to back up his undoubted level of skill, turned it on 1 in every half dozen games, and was a part of a relegated team.

How many big clubs came knocking for him?

Kinky would have flourished in a team consisting of Silva,Kun,Fernandhino,Ginger Kev etc.
He was unlucky to have played in some of the worst City teams in recent history.
Kinky was unbelievable but had to carry the rest of the team.
