Gerard Hay RIP

Some shocking news coming through about the sudden and totally unexpected death of a big blue. Many knew Gerard through Twitter or the City Supporters Group on LinkedIn, which he was a regular and valued contributor to.

It seems he was on holiday with his family in Greece, when he collapsed and died. He absolutely loved Greece, particulary Kefalonia, and was only tweeting photos from there this morning. I never met him face-to-face but he was one of those people who was a great user of social media and you felt you knew them well. Everyone who did know him speaks incredibly highly of him as someone who was always there to support and encourage others.

The only consolation is that he would have died while happy to be with his family in a place he loved so much. Sincere condolences to his family & friends.
