German Christmas Markets

Having loved over there my favourites are Koln and Berlin, most german towns have their own even the small ones are good, but the big cities have many dotted around, the two I mentioned are great, I hope we draw a German team in CL as I missed out in the Dortmund one last time.

Just wait till I launch my "Favourite 1970's German Male Porn Star With A Moustache" Thread.
That's a tad strong, but some piccies of pigtailed blonde barmaids with their tre'pneys spilling out of lacy tops would brighten up a dull morning.

Cologne gets the thumbs up from me too. I went last year and the markets pissed all over what we have here - mulled wine and bratwurst for about half the price of what you pay in Manchester, none of this overcrowding bollocks, and generally a far more relaxed atmosphere. Cheap flights on Germanwings and decent digs at a bargain price - what's not to like? There's plenty of other stuff to do too - the Cathedral being the obvious one - and if you've had your fill of the markets then stuff yourself silly in the Lindt chocolate museum ;)

For variety, I'm off to Riga this time round - flights and 4 nights in the 5 star Radisson Blu for just over £170 per person.

Berlin is great for beer, and the walking tours are fascinating, but the city itself is far from beautiful IMO. Bombed to oblivion, the architecture is predominantly brutalist, and the graffiti is literally everywhere, which really spoils the place.
Why the Germans haven't got to grips with the cretinous scrotes who create this vandalistic shit baffles me.

As a result of City European away days, I've been to the ones in Cologne, Dortmund and Munich. Cologne just edges it, from what I can remember.

Have done Munich, which i thought was Ok, Copenhagen nice City bobbins markets and Innsbruck. Thought Innsbruck was a stunning small city, with great views of the Alps, but the best festive atmosphere was when we took a train from Innsbruck to Seefeld, plenty of snow and a really small market in the town square mainly selling just drinks and food, no tat, not crowded and very chilled.

Nürnberg and Dresden should be the most famous one. I love the one in Erfurt, but that is not the right place for top football

Try charlottenberg in Berlin. Last time I was there I picked up done wonderful Thai produce as well as the usual German beer.

Fuck sake, you can't highlight the word wonderful, and post that monstrosity. You should be fucking ashamed
Oh come on.

Don't tell me you haven't found yourself alone, emotional and in need of some affection at 3am in the transgender quarter of Berlin before?
