So you've gone to wait for his motives to just assuming he's an islamist pretending to be an ex Muslim to conduct a false flag attack.

His motivations seem clear because he's been pretty vocal about his hatred of religion of birth and the saudi authorities.

It's not unusual at all for people to have an extreme dislike of their old religion and have a distorted worldview.

He is a psychiatrist not a psychologist.

It would seem the Saudi authorities and others did tip German authorities off about this one, including his plans for a terror attack. Like the arena bombers ' known to the authorities', but in fairness the security services are probably triaging thousands of such tip offs so one or two are bound to slip through the net.
