I'm fairly sure you can be locked up for planning a terrorist act, but i stand to be corrected I'm no legal eagle.

You can be locked up for planning a crime or inciting hatred - I could be wrong, but isn’t that what this guy was doing all over social media.

Also there have been loads of cases of people committing crimes and not being locked up and then those people go on to commit serious offences - when they should have been in jail

I am waiting for the day Germany, Sweden and other countries start saying we are not allowing immigrants in... Either that or they start vetting them better. I do have some sympathy, as you say he will be one of many, but I'd like to know what they actually did, was he questioned? was he told that he was being watched? did they schedule a repeat interview if he was questioned?
