Apologies if this is daft question but it’s been bugging me for weeks. What is the black harness like strapping some of the Germans have on their shirts? I’ve seen other teams with the same thing. Some players have it and some do not?

I think it was chest. But the tenor of this commentator is virulently anti-German in the way the England commentator was desperate for a Rooney hat-trick.

We are doomed to have the entire tournament ruined by third rate commentating.
