That is really strange but Benitez looks as if he has a cunning plan.
 
sign torres up as soon as poss, give em RSC and cash. leave gerrard to stew and the last rat on the sinking ship. cos if we wont buy gerrard, i doubt any other club will stump up the cash for someone who will have no sell-on value

If I was a billionaire, I would wait for a couple of years while they stew then pick them up at half price ....
 
Got a few mates who are liverpool fans and they're bricking it that we snatch 4th, with all its repurcussions...ie We'll attract the really big names we can't attract now. On the other hand, they look at missing out on fourth as a reality check for the owners and good riddance to Benitez. After years of having to put up with my mates comments at our expense, taking fourth spot will be extra special...IF we manage it. I happen to think that we'll beat united and the next game against Brum is a tougher one to call....I hope mancini keeps a winning attack minded team, and hits them hard early on to ease the pressure on a nervy home crowd. Keep the goals coming and it also removes any edge spurs had on us regarding goal difference..you never know it could be crucial
 
There are a lot of Pool fans at work and all season they have been moaning about Rafa, most are past the point of no return. They want rid and are sick of the dire football this season, the low point being away to Reading - they were suicidal after that game! I could not believe it when he guaranteed 4th spot, I know they still cannot be written off but it’s looking tough for them.
Some also want him to fail so they can get rid, the loss of CL funds will really hurt them, cannot see no matter how bad it is, that failure to secure 4th spot would in any way be good for them!
