That was pretty much my reaction when we signed Bellars, and look how he turned out!

Have to agree - I think that he is past his best, and I am not sure that he would come to us.

BUT he's better than anyone else (Ireland?) that we have in that role.

TBH, I would rather give Robbie a chance as an attacking midfielder than Stevie Starfish.

I would also rather that we buy someone younger - at the start of their career rather than closer to the end.

Believe me, Gerrard is not on course to sign. There has definitely been no medical in Abu Dhabi and Liverpool have certainly not accepted a bid. As far as I'm aware, no bid was ever made and if it was then it was rejected. The only bid we've had that's been accepted was the £11m for Boateng... And fuck knows why they're not confirming it. Maybe after the WC it'll come out.

Without reading the whole thread, Gerrard and his perma-tanned missus were over here a couple of weeks back, so I'm guessing that the resident Bluemoon WUMMING knobheads have decided to spread a rumour that he nipped over to AD for a medical while he was here.

He is nailed on to get the f**k out and go to Real to avoid the fallout. No way hes coming to City more chance of getting Messi unless hes shagged his babysitter too.
