Get behind Pep and City for the last 9 league games.

I don't want Pep out, I want the old Pep back, Pep having to take 2nd best and let this happen is painful
The manager is a born winner and doesn't take fools likely, Pep once said you can never stand still and look at what we have won in the past,
You want the old Pep back, Pep wants the old Jack back.

I want the old Philip back.

agree totally with the sentiment of getting behind the team and manager.

Would be nice if the ground was full but charging people £61 to watch Brighton isn't viable and the clubs pricing policy means sadly some of those who want to get behind the lads are simply priced out. If the club does want to show its big on "City in the Community" then stop increasing the price of season tickets, and change the current pricing structure for home games which is appalling.

Apologies - I've gone off on a tangent.

You kidding?

Half the forum wants him out, judging from what i've read. All those trophies, all those memories, yet one poor season and it's "sayonara" and "Pep's the problem". I swear I don't recognise this fanbase anymore.

But i'll still be here, cheering them on, cheering on Pep, no matter where we end up this season. Because it's "City til I die" not "City until we have a bad run of results that might mean we miss out on CL football, and my sensitivities can't handle that scenario. In which case i'll be looking for the next manager to take over because I live for progression."
This forum is not representative of our fanbase and certainly not match going fans

Half???

maybe about 10 numpties, and the usual ones tbf who cry if we aren't top.

This forum has never fully represented opinions I hear on a matchday from fans and at aways, I take any nonsense on here with a pitch of salt

Well said Marvin.

We also have tens of thousands of the best fans in British football. We are currently punching below our weight. We need to be the 12th man.
Unfortunately I don't think we are punching below our weight. We have found our level.
The " older" players are not what they once were and the newer players brought in are not at the level of players that have left recently like Mahrez and Alvarez.
Our injuries are unprecedented and a reluctance on Pep to take a chance on younger players is counter productive.
Step back 2 years and a City team would have beaten todays opposition with ease.
I think its caught every supporter by surprise how our performances have dropped so far.

Too many of our so called fans have short term memory losses and are beginning to sound every much as we all said we hope we never become, like them twats over at Trafford ... self entitled fuckers.

Not sure what you expect, tbh. If the club treats people who go to the match like United treat "them twats over at Trafford", you will get a fanbase at the ground like them.

It's a cross-thread tangent that needs going off on.

It's the disconnect I keep talking about. Guardiola wants a noisy ground? Fill it with kids who have had a beer or two. They won't care about how the game is going, they will just have a good time. Tell Soriano what to do, don't look fucking confused or disappointed about it.

Squad management is fluid. It can change quickly. What is Liverpool's level? Last year or this year?

If the club gets recruitment right from now on the club's level will inevitably be at the top for the simple reason we have earned more money than the others. We just need to be patient. And the club needs not to fuck up the recruitment, I suppose.

I've been LAX, I got a great new job and haven't been giffing Haaland's goals so I blame myself for this bad stretch. I'm ready to prioritize and give the boys my full attention. Let's get behind the boys and ride them back to the CL where they belong!

Oh and let's go all out for the FA Cup too since it's there for the taking and they don't have Europe to deal with. Imagine the worst season EV-AH including qualifying for CL and the FA Cup. Blessed to be this bad we are.

I found myself doubting Pep, thinking he had reached his time but the quality he is working with and the lack of Rodri, Bobb three top international CB's most of the season, ageing players who have been our champions some who have been the best in the world in their positions, make's me realise what a spoilt twat I've been, sorry Pep

I salute your optimism, fella. But we haven't yet achieved any of the stuff you are currently tickertape parading around the streets for.
If we are knocked out of the cup and end up in the europa Cup, stuff will be grim.
Not being entitled, there, I'm just being realistic. And, although I don't personally know the club ownership team, I am pretty sure they will be aligned with my way of thinking.
Minimum requirement is chumps qualification and fa cup.
Still, I keep faith in Pep cos he's the best out there, so far. If we squeeze through and achieve our minimum expectations this season, we must have a great club world cup and a great start to the new season or he may be toast.

Today was dispiriting. The crowd was as quiet as I can remember in a long time.

I watched Pep's press conference after the game. He looked really nervous. He sounded emotional and anxious. I feel we are near the end of an era but that it is not yet gone. It's now time for us to play our part and return the favour to Pep and the team for all the joy they have given us over the last few years.

The next home game is Leicester at home. How we feel about that will depend on the FA Cup game but let's stop feeling entitled to a Premier League title winning team, and behave as Manchester City supporters. Let's intervene in our season and make the Etihad a fortress for the last 2 months of this season. Our football club has been under attack for years. The fans have looked helplessly on but now I think it's time that we make our voices heard for Pep and for City.

We need to do something now because this season is in the balance and we have 50 thousand voices who are currently neutered. They needn't be.

It's what happens to fans when we win it all we get spoiled and expect to win expect to dominate expect to play well! If you been listening to pep last month or so him talking about we might not get champs league place and then talk about liverpool not making it after being so good, also how many times we have qualified, he sees the players in training maybe he feels it's touch and go for us to get top five!

Anyone thinking a new manager will change anything are wrong because we get a new manager performances improve a bit then we drop back to being average the new manager will be under even more pressure! Pep has so much credit in the bank he needs to get the team competing again before any new manager talk!

Maybe it's a recruitment strategy that Pep has had to struggle with.
Maybe the injuries and 115 bullshit has got the club hedging their bets for this season.
Maybe the club have already told Pep this year is a free hit until all the legal shite is wrapped up.
Only they know.
For all we know the season may be going as expected and accepted from the off.
It's all just a guessing game.

Not in the slightest, if you are telling me this is the best he can come up with, with this squad, with 180m of talent added in January then I will call you a liar. You aren't spoilt. We aren't shit anymore, a lot of fans are small time and think present day is ok because we have been a lot worse.

I came on the thread to reply to the OP, who has made the kind of post that is posted every other week. A rallying of the troops so often shows it has been consistently inconsistent for a while now. Firstly we do not need to be told to support the team. They have had the support all season, Pep gets personal support weekly on top of the many pre game tributes/banners he has had. We are entitled to question him and the team following the game on a City forum, it is more than acceptable. I go most weeks, I sing and cheer them on. Yesterday wasn't great atmosphere wise but especially present day football home matches, it tends to go with the flow of the game. If we are slow, boring and at times painful to watch then it will be reflected in the atmosphere. We are there, we attend and we pay through the nose to be there. Don't dig the fans out. The club, the manager and the players need digging out. I get pissed off with the many posters saying we are entitled for having standards. The posters who have the same expectations they had in the 90s. Dare I say it, we are a massive football club now and our expectations have moved with it. A drop off was inevitable, I can live with not winning the league, not a problem. I do not accept that the shit being served up is the best possible given the apparent best manager in the game, a good squad of players with 180M of talent recently added to it. If you think in less than a year we are now the level of a Brighton, Brentford and now behind a Forest and that is ok, let me tell you that it isn't. United finished 8th last year, there is every chance we could finish in a similar position to that with a far superior team and an even superior manager. Thinking all of this isn't being entitled and stop calling posters out for it.

I am going to Bournemouth, I will sing and cheer them on until the very end. What I will also do is call them out for unacceptable level of performances, afterwards, on a City discussion forum. That is fair I'd say.

Pep and City need the end of the season right now, I feel the longer it goes on the worse it will get.
It all feels like after the lord mayor's show and the clean-up begins and the horse shit is bagged up

It's not the losing that hurts the most, it's the waving of the white flag and giving up on the season,
Fight the good fight and fans will go home happy even if we lose, But take them for granted and fools.

Play some of the EDS and Youth players that way you will see fight and hunger at least

That was probably one the youngest sides we’ve ever fielded under Pep, maybe in the PL full stop.

Lewis 20
Khusanov 20
Gvardiol 22
Nico 22
Doku 22
Savinho 20

It was inexperienced and young enough, anymore inexperience in that team and we’d likely have lost the game.

Add to that Marmoush is a new player, Ortega-Moreno is a back-up and and ageing Gündoğan was leading the midfield because the player who won POTS is wildly out of form and was sat on the bench.

So 9 of the 11 yesterday were either young, inexperienced, new signings, back-ups or ageing players.

Only 3 of the 11 were part of our strongest team from the treble season. That’s barely 20 months ago, not long at all, and the team is unrecognisable. If someone got a bang on the head in Istanbul and woke up on Friday and attended the game yesterday, they’d have wondered who the fuck that team was, probably asking those around them ‘can I just check this is definitely City in 2025?’

That needs a fanbase behind them, not a sit-and-wait-to-be-entertained-with-unrealistic-and-deluded-expectations-that-the-team-is-a-team-of-superstars fanbase.

The amount of tutting and moaning yesterday was like we were a shit team down the bottom of the Championship. One bloke just shouted a massive ‘AAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHH’ at Khusanov when he kicked it out of play for a throw-in. A 20 year old new signing who doesn’t speak English and is trying to settle into a new club and new city and has got MOTM in every game since he signed for us yet he gets berated for a mistake in his first bad game by a fanbase who can only get behind a team when they’re smashing everyone in sight.

I had a go at everyone around me after Marmoush scored, because all they were doing in the build up to it was moaning that every pass wasn’t perfect. They listened to me but it only lasted until half time as they were back to moaning all second half.

Twats everywhere yesterday. Tutting moaning twats.
