Get behind Pep and City for the last 9 league games.

It's a bit radical, innit? Getting behind the team and the bald frau manager, I mean. Not sure it'll catch on. Not on here, anyway. It's not called BlueMoan for fits and giggles, you know.

It is called readjusting your mentality based on the clubs position. If you are small time and just happy to be here then go for it. Each to their own.

We are the team with the reported highest wage bill, the current champions, we have the best manager in the game and have just spent 180m more in January because that best manager cannot work with what he had. We aren't dealing with a badly run club anymore without a pot to piss in. We are a powerhouse of the game and bad spells or an off season can come around, it is football. The level of drop off is completely and utterly unacceptable. We had gallows humour when we had nothing else and we had to smile and laugh at ourselves otherwise we would cry. I still feel that amongst match going fans. I just don't understand why people think Pep cannot be questioned and fans can't be worried with the drop off, without being entitled demanding we win everything.
 
Sadly for me the end of our glorious cycle is clearly coming to an end, the almost perfect strorm of injury, fatigue, illness, loss of form, shockingly poor planning, too much loyalty and personal problems.

This team is utterly broken and I think it will be some considerable time before we get back to any sort of previous levels, I don't think it's a simple question of getting players back fit.

The biggest worry for me is Pep, the guy looks shattered and with this summers WC competition he won't be getting the break he needs away from the game.

Also there is a genuine chance we won't be getting a CL spot, that would be a financial disaster but far more importantly it will be a huge downer on potential elite players that we need to attract this summer.

I just hope the 115 case judgement is announced in the next few weeks and the result is in our favour, that would give the club a huge boost and get the monkey off our back, the possibility of the case going against us is a situation to grave to think about.

Time to get behind our club more than ever, all players and manager need our full commitment in the coming weeks.

We can definitely help with atmosphere, but going forward, Pep needs a new assistant and a new set piece coach,not getting any help ,we never score from a corner, but do leak easy goals, crowd soon goes on a downer, Rodri has been a huge loss.

It was inexperienced and young enough, anymore inexperience in that team and we’d likely have lost the game.

Add to that Marmoush is a new player, Ortega-Moreno is a back-up and and ageing Gündoğan was leading the midfield because the player who won POTS is wildly out of form and was sat on the bench.

So 9 of the 11 yesterday were either young, inexperienced, new signings, back-ups or ageing players.

Only 3 of the 11 were part of our strongest team from the treble season. That’s barely 20 months ago, not long at all, and the team is unrecognisable. If someone got a bang on the head in Istanbul and woke up on Friday and attended the game yesterday, they’d have wondered who the fuck that team was, probably asking those around them ‘can I just check this is definitely City in 2025?’

That needs a fanbase behind them, not a sit-and-wait-to-be-entertained-with-unrealistic-and-deluded-expectations-that-the-team-is-a-team-of-superstars fanbase.

The amount of tutting and moaning yesterday was like we were a shit team down the bottom of the Championship. One bloke just shouted a massive ‘AAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHH’ at Khusanov when he kicked it out of play for a throw-in. A 20 year old new signing who doesn’t speak English and is trying to settle into a new club and new city and has got MOTM in every game since he signed for us yet he gets berated for a mistake in his first bad game by a fanbase who can only get behind a team when they’re smashing everyone in sight.

I had a go at everyone around me after Marmoush scored, because all they were doing in the build up to it was moaning that every pass wasn’t perfect. They listened to me but it only lasted until half time as they were back to moaning all second half.

Lewis Doku Savinho Gvardiol need to be dropped and benched, the other 2 in Khusanov Nico are new and show fight and are hungry, We need fight and players that are hungry Not players coasting and walking about with a slapped arse on their faces

Well said. There is too much negativity. Pep is rebuilding the team. He is playing with two up front but we need more energy and creativity in midfield and a more solid back four. It will be addressed in the summer. Meanwhile the fans need to get behind the team. One dodgy season in nine is not a disaster. Since when did City fans lose their resilience. Some of us are starting to sound like whining scousers.
 
The bloke who normally sits to my left had gone skiing whilst the bloke to my right seemed more interested in the scores from other games on his mobile.

The father and daughter behind me were blaming Lewis after two minutes and the lads in front disappeared to the bar towards the end of the First Half and missed both Marmoush's goal and Brighton's equaliser.

That's been happening all season, but in all fairness, it was happening all of last season as well.

Welcome to the typical matchday experience.
 
Difficult to get excited by the same shite game after game. I don’t leave the stadium in my Ferrari. I get the bus.

This team need our full support, make the Etihad a cauldron of passion and atmosphere in the next games, they need us badly.

Agree with that, they have had our support and commitment and will continue to do so. We can still call them shit though ;)

Top post - the fact that it needs a sensible head to spell this out to us all is shameful...........
 
Step 1 is actually going to the game. ST holders and regulars might not always sing but at least they shout and swear! Yesterday was noticeable for the sheer lack of regulars and season ticket holders. I thought it was just my section but coming on here it seems it was everywhere. Different competitions but RM and Argyle was the same. We’ve all got commitments and disillusionment is natural but if attendances from die hards drop off we will spiral. With the current ticket shenanigans when an ST holder doesn’t turn up it’s more likely the ticket will go to a half an half or ‘content creator’ who is more interested in their phone than the result. If ST holders come back in numbers for Leicester at home that is the first step in bringing some of the passion back.
 
Sad truth of the matter is we are witnessing what is being seen as the sinking ship and 1894 have become the Orchestra akin to that on the Titanic
We have to face it this was inevitable especially as we abandoned any forward thinking and planning which is possibly as a consequence of too many distractions not least of all did anyone expect Pep to stay let alone the trumped up charges to keep dragging on

the atmosphere is not that significant in the grand design of things but it it’s important the loyal hard core stay true to whatever team we field given the clubs ignorance of this then it will be left to forums like this and 1894 et Al to rally ourselves as well as the team through to the end of this season

There’s nothing worse than going to these matches now and sitting there like a miserable twat at an execution

Just make a load of Fukin noise bring out our gallows humour and at least confuse the fuck out of our oppositions and their fans and especially the Fukin media

I’ll know when the time has come at the end of season when the classic strains of “we’ll support you ever more….” Start ringing in my ears
