Had to laugh at Chelsea yesterday losing 3.0 at home to the lowly Sunderland, for their 1st game without Wilkins on the bench. Karmas a woman.

Just because Platt is a numpty, it doesn't mean that you should bring in more numpties.
Wilkins is Phil 'Yes, boss' Neal with slightly less hair. Comes across as a massive arse licker to me.

Agree with you JMA (except I was impressed with DP's post match interview on Saturday).
Never ever heard him offer one insight of wisdom into a game. It's just gushing praise. Might well be a good coach for all I know, but you get the feeling he's just been at Chelsea for so long because of his playing association.

How would anyone on here possibly know whether he is good enough or not for us?
You can't say that the trophies won by Chelsea last year are a proxy for his abilities. It could simply be a David May kind of scenario...treble winner but had little to do with it.
It was the same with those calls the other day to bring Uwe in. I love the guy but... sentiment counts for nothing at this level. We should be looking to bring in the best qualified coaches and staff that are available. If that so happens to be Uwe or Wilkins, then great. Otherwise we move on
