was just looking at the table last night (and i have been one thinking liverpool will pip us) and looking at the table started to look up and not below us.

Ok here we go

we are playing well no doubt better than i thought the last few games so take one game at a time we could ??? win every game? no one to fear i would like to think. ends us on 77 points?
i know big ask.

then lets hope spurs do ok and turn over the scum as well.

leaves for the scum sunderland at home win?? stoke away draw poss. scum end 77 points but us on goals.

sunderland draw and stoke scum 75 points.

we get third.

tin hat but it sounds good you never know. UP THE BLUES!

With us being City then that wouldnt surprise me at all. Also the total opposite wouldnt come as a surprise. Although I do think 4th is best we can hope and wish for..........Still nice to look up occasionally
 
to true. it just all became clear everyone 4th 4th 4th all we here thinking we are going to lose out. why should we playing well and the scum are not. if we and spurs take 3 points off them heads down for their sunderland game and stoke not an easy place to go?

like i said we need take everygame at a time keep winning.

you will see if we win and spurs beat them people will talk about finishing 3rd?
 
It's not beyond the realms of possibility but highly unlikely.
The most we can get is 77 pts as you say but we would need United to only gain 3 points from their remaining fixtures (that would give them 76) as if we finished level with them their superior g/d (22 better than ours currently) would make them finish above us unless we carry on thrashing everyone + make that g/d up - again highly unlikely.
Also we would have to win every game which I don't think we will, i'm not suggesting that we will loose any but I think a draw is due somewhere along the line.

But the fact that were even talking about it is good, winning on Sat + putting a nail in the coffin + marking the beginning of the END for them would be good enough for me!
 
Fair play to you for looking up son, but I can't get behind a Spurs victory anywhere at the moment. Far too scared about 4th to be looking at 3rd, esp with it being so unlikely. Would be pretty hilarious though.

I know fella like the title stated 'getting giddy' but you never know chief all shall see over the next few weeks!!
 
I want the rags to absolutely smash spurs (they wont win the league, so it's irrelevant!). You are talking as if we now have 4th wrapped up. We don't. I hope Spurs get naff all from their upcoming games. Forget 3rd.

not me, a draw please.
 
If we win our game in hand over them and beat them. That will leave us 5 points behind them, I had the exact same feeling last night thinking about this! It's very unlikely that we'd do it but it would be great if we finished only several points behind them to show how far we have come, and to show we are not that far off the 'title contenders'.
 
tricky trev i think your getting a bit wound up my friend. If you readi was only looking forward like i said and no chance would i like the scum to smash spurs. Its in our hands fella so anything could happen.

I'm not looking past Sat. Game by game for me, hope is the only thing which I have past Saturday. Obviously I want us to smash the rags, but its a derby, form goes out the window. I've said it in other posts, we've beat them with Rooney at Eastlands already, lets hope we do it again before thinking about nailing 4th spot.
