I once moaned to a GP that giving me antibiotics just before Christmas was a bit unrealistic an he asked me why. So I mentioned this about not having alcohol and his reply was it never stopped him. He said there was no evidence there was any reaction between the two. I reckon its something wives dreamt up to keep men out of the pub.
