Gigs Thread

Massive Attack, visually painful as they had a high tempo mk ultra style of images and words. It wasn't for me....I hated it and had to look away the whole gig.had software for 1 song that used faces of the audience front rows which was really cool.

Played lots of 100th window, which I also don't really like. 2nd half of the gig was class where they played better known classics. Great to see them.

I’ve got a busy few days with gigs to finish the year.

Paul Heaton tomorrow in Dipper town.
Sam Fender on a freebie Saturday at the Co-Op live
Lightning Seeds Tuesday at Parr Hall
Finally McCartney at the Co-op after the Derby.

Been a great year for gigs this year. Best ones for me were James at the co-op live, The Libertines at the Albert Hall, Noel Gallagher at Wigan, Shed Seven in Liverpool and surprisingly the one I enjoyed with my daughter, the amazing Taylor Swift at Anfield :-)

Went to see The Slow Readers Club at the Ritz last night. Their live sound was as crisp as ever and the new material from the forthcoming album sounded fantastic.

Bought tickets to see The Beach Boys next summer. Never seen them; did have tickets for a gig that was cancelled due to Covid. They're doing one UK gig next year at some large country estate hear Reading so a less than 30 minute drive from home on a good run.

They have David Essex and Lulu supporting them! Never seen DE by my wife was a fan once upon a time. Seen Lulu make a cameo appearance or two at tribute gigs in the not too distant past and her voice was still potent.

Just hope the sun shines.
