thanks! My mate is ginger and said this to me and my reaction was similar to yours but after thinking about it why is hair colour any different to skin colour, and why should people think it's 'ok' to abuse one group but not another.....strange really.

I take the point about abusing different groups, but I just don't see how hair and skin colour can be equated in any way. There is no way on earth being called a 'ginge' or associated and even more abusive terms- as hurtful as they can be - can be equated with racial abuse, which is rooted in decades and centuries of prejudice.

Incidentally, it seems that Spanish girls absolutely love red hair. Those bastards back in primary school, who's laughing now... ;-)

Sadly you probably are right, i am a serial live together kinda man 7 so far and guess what ive only been with 11 woman, just got married last year and the 7/11 shop shut down for me but hey ho im happy now mate
